Elbows Up Toronto is an organization that hopes to create a sense of cohesion and solidarity regarding threats to Canada, and to discuss actions which can be taken against those threats. They hold regular public meetings with a range of speakers and other guests. We are non-partisan.
Prime Minister Carney has determined that one response to the Trump agenda is to deliver National Projects. The September 15, 2025 meeting will be focused on high speed rail as a National Project.
The meeting is Monday September 15, 7 pm, Trinity St. Paul’s Church, 427 Bloor Street West, a block west of Spadina.
Paul Langan, the Founder of High Speed Rail Canada (2008), an educational online resource on high-speed rail, will be having a question and answer with Anne Marie Aikens. This will be followed by ample time for questions from the audience
He will be followed by Matti Siemiatycki, Department of Engineering, U of T, who has done critical work about public private partnerships.
