Ontario Pension Plan Giants Look to Buy More Airports in England

Ontario Pension Plan Giants, the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (their investments are managed by Borealis Infrastructure) are going up against Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) in a battle to buy a London city airport. Both these funds already own the Channel  Rail Tunnel.

In 2014 the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan snapped up 48% of Birmingham Airport. It had already owned airports in Bristol, Brussels and Copenhagen.
