Mexico to have high-speed rail system

Mexico City, Jan 30 (IANS/EFE): Mexico's federal government and officials from the central state of Queretaro have signed an agreement to build a high-speed rail system, an official said.
The train will be able to cover the approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Mexico City to Queretaro city in less than two hours, Communications and Transportation Secretary Gerardo Ruiz Esparza said.
The train will have state-of-the-art technology and operate at speeds of up to 180 kph, official said. (well not true high speed but moving forward!)
